News: Eisteddfod Results!

“WOW!” That was the first comment from our guest judges who came in for today’s Eisteddfod competitions: Castellau a Caneuon.
The entries were superb but too large/fragile to exhibit outside (sorry!) so instead some parents came into the hall to see them and we have photographs to share with you all, along with the songs from all classes. All will be uploaded later (the files are very large!) and are few examples are attached!
Presentations of (nearly all) the rosettes were squeezed in just before the children went home and I do hope the winners are proud of their achievements! Nursery children and Dosbarth Tryfan will get their rosettes on Monday.

Huge CONGRATULATIONS/ LLONGAFARCHIADAU to all our winners and a big well done – DA IAWN to the other classes for their wonderful efforts. “We can’t all win all of the time – it’s the taking part that counts!”

My sincerest thanks are extended to our judges Mrs Rachel Valentine and Mrs Emma Thomas who had a very difficult task – I do hope you both enjoyed your afternoon, and hopefully next year you will be able to see live performances!
We’ve had such a successful Welsh Week promoting the Welsh language and culture and my thanks also go to Mrs Rogers, Mrs Bowles, Mrs Cartwright and our Criw Cymraeg for their wonderful ideas and organisation. The Biscuit and Cake Stall held yesterday afternoon raised £60 – fantastic news! Thanks to everyone who supported us.
Projects/Weeks like these are so vitally important for the children and help to develop a wide variety of skills across all areas of the curriculum. I look forward to our next project and as CoVid restrictions lift, we can hopefully start involving parents, carers and the wider community too!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
