News: End of Term Updates

Good Morning Everyone,
Just to keep you updated with some plans we have for the rest of the week:
Wednesday 14th July
It’s a fun day with a difference!
Due to CoVid we can’t hold the end of year extravaganza that we’d been planning unfortunately. Instead, we have booked lots of Bouncy Castles for the children to enjoy in their class bubbles!! We also have a Candy Floss machine and ice-creams for all the children.
I realise that Dyfrdwy are missing out on the fun. If they have siblings in school, we’ll send home Candy Floss and a bag of sweets for them; if they don’t have siblings parents can arrange to collect this at the end of the school day, but please don’t send older children who are in isolation from secondary schools.
Fingers crossed that the CoVid restrictions will be lifted in September and I will try to arrange a special treat for those children missing out.
Thursday 15th and Friday 16th July
It’s non-uniform for the last two days of term.
If parents have uniform that they will not need in September, that is in good condition, please consider sending this into school on Thursday 15th July.
We will then wash, dry and iron the uniforms (I do love ironing!!) and put them out on Friday 16th July for parents to help themselves to. If parents want to make a donation to the school fund in exchange for the uniform we’d be most grateful, however, this is voluntary and not expected.
We hope that by doing this we’ll not only be saving parents money, but we’ll also be doing our bit for the environment by recycling.
Items welcomed are: school jumpers, polo shirts, skirts and trousers.
Any items left over will be held at school for the first week of the holidays and then sent to local charity shops.
If parents don’t feel comfortable looking through the uniform, please email [email protected] with your child’s name and requirements (including sizes) and we’ll do our best to get a package ready for you to collect on Monday 19th or Tuesday 20th July.
School Closes for the summer holidays on Friday 16th July and reopens on Thursday 2nd September for all children from Reception to Year 6. New nursery children have had start dates sent to parents via email.
Many thanks,
Mrs Billington
