We’ve had a wonderful day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The children have been on parades around the village, sang at the Rockery, enjoyed a ‘Street Party’ style lunch and had fun in a disco this afternoon.
I’d like to send a HUGE thanks to ALL staff who have worked so hard to make today possible and a special thanks to Mrs Gilmour and Miss Ivison for arranging the songs at the Rockery. The children sang beautifully and the soloists (Daisy, Gracie, Edie and Henry) gave amazing performances.
I will make a short video of todays events and share this on the website as soon as I can. In the meantime, here’s a few snapshots of the ‘Street Party’ where we had music from the 1950s playing!
All the children are bringing home a commemorative teddy and once again I must extend our sincere thanks to the Llay Community Council for helping us with the funding to purchase these.
I hope you all enjoy your own celebrations over the half term break and we’ll see you all safely back here on Monday 6th June.
Many thanks to you all for your continued support.
