Following a review of cases locally, I am now able to share our plans for the return to school for Foundation Phase children. As the past few weeks (and months) have been particularly challenging we will be phasing the children in slowly, to ensure they have a positive experience and to allow us to monitor closely the measures we have put in place. We are following Welsh Government and Local Authority Guidance carefully to ensure school is as safe as possible and have made some changes to our routines – please read the attached information before sending your child back to school.
Children should return to school on the following dates:
Friday 26th February – Year 2 children only
Monday 1st March – Reception and Year 2 children only
Tuesday 2nd March – Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children only
Wednesday 3rd March – Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children
We will continue to provide essential childcare for children of Critical Worker parents on the days they require.
Home Learning Activities will be provided for the children when they are not in school.
Should you have any questions please contact school.
In the meantime, I would like to thank you all for your continued support and patience. We look forward to welcoming our Foundation Phase children back to school.
Update 1st March: Children in Foundation Phase who are entitled to free school meals – all money is now being paid directly to the catering service once again, so parents do not need to top up children’s accounts. However, you must still activate your Parent Pay account and book meals in advance.
