News: Update for Foundation Phase Parents

Following the announcement earlier this week by Wrexham LA, the decision on when and how to safely reopen the Foundation Phase department will be confirmed after the half term break. There are however, some points I can confirm:
As the children will be spending as much time as possible outdoors, we will be relaxing our school uniform policy. Children will need to wear warm trousers (e.g. jogging bottoms), sensible footwear (e.g. trainers), t-shirt and jumper/fleece/hoodie. All children must have a warm waterproof coat, winter hat and gloves in school at all times. On wet days if possible, please send in a pair of wellies.
Nursery Children
All Nursery children will attend school in the morning.  Mrs Lucas’ Class will be moving rooms into the room known as Little Treasures.  This reduces the number of children in our Early Years classroom and will allow for groups to be safely separated.  Wraparound Care will be available to those children entitled to the 30hours Childcare Offer if needed and to the children of Critical Worker parents only.

Other information such as start/finish times, lunchtime arrangements etc. will be shared following the half term break when we have further information on the numbers of cases locally.
I thank you for your patience and would like to reassure parents that we are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safe re-opening of school, following both LA and Welsh Government guidance.
In the meantime, enjoy the half term break.
Best wishes,
Mrs Billington
