News: Updates

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I have had a few enquiries from parents asking for further information about the re-opening of school to Foundation Phase learners this week. As stated in the letter from the Local Authority, posted before half term, cases locally are now being reviewed in order that we can make a final decision on our approach to safely welcome the children back.
I will share further detailed information with you all as soon as possible and I thank you for your patience. I understand your frustrations during these challenging times, but I am sure that we all share the common goal of having the children and staff return to school safely.
Our School App  In other news, our App has now been updated, allowing parents/carers to subscribe to selected notifications only. This means that you can select which year groups you receive updates from and turn off notifications from other classes. To select the notifications you wish to receive, simply click on the “Settings” tab in the menu on the App and turn push notifications on/off.  I would suggest that you all subscribe to the News category as this is where important updates about school will be shared.
Home Learning I hope everyone enjoyed their break from Home Learning activities last week and took some time out to refresh. New activities will be posted tomorrow morning, along with details of a special Eisteddfod competition for children in Key Stage 2.
Critical Worker Parents Please ensure that you book places for next week (Week beginning 1st March) by 12noon on Wednesday 24th February. Huge thanks to you all for working so closely with us and only sending your children into school when you are working and have no alternative option.
Key Stage 2 Return Last Friday the minister announced a return to school for KS2 children from 15th March. As yet we have no further information on these plans which are likely to depend on the reviews of CoVid-19 cases locally and nationally.
Please remember that we remain in a Level 4 Lockdown and children should not be out socialising face to face with their friends. Further information on what is allowed can be found at https://gov.wales/alert-level-4
Thank you all for your continued support.
Stay safe everyone.
