What an amazing Coronation Service we’ve had this morning! If London want a hand with the arrangements for tomorrow, then they should contact Park CP Llay! We’ve had a wonderful time parading around the village with the Royal Guard; crowning the King and Queen; visiting Llay Welfare Palace for a balcony wave and a lovely British lunch – in the rain!!!!!!! The children behaved impeccably and I can’t praise them enough.
The celebrations are not over yet – we’ve got a disco this afternoon and will also be planting some wild flower seeds in the school grounds, as we know King Charles III loves nature.
A HUGE thanks to Pastor David (who should be promoted to Archbishop after this morning!); to Father Huw for the balcony blessing; to Sarah Gilmour for the music; to North Wales Police for helping us on our parade route; to the Welfare for allowing us to use the balcony and to everyone in the community who came out to show their support.
Of course, this truly BRILLIANT day would not have been possible without the fabulous staff we have here at Park C.P. – thank you everyone (you can have Monday off work!!!!!!)
Let’s hope it goes as well in London tomorrow!
I promise lots more photographs and videos will follow later.
