Llay Flying Start offers a warm, caring, stimulating and happy environment which provides a wealth of play experiences and activities. Every child is valued and recognised for who they are and their individuality is nurtured and encouraged.
Llay Flying Start is registered for 22 children who attend from the term after their second birthday to the term after their third birthday when they move onto Early Entitlement at Llay Playgroup or Nursery if their birthday falls between May and July.
The allocation of a Flying Start place is confirmed by the Flying Start Health Visitor for the area, the home address for the child must be within the designated Flying Start area in Llay
Llay Park Playgroup
Llay Park Playgroup is based in Park CP School, Llay.
Our aims are:
The Playgroup is for children aged 2 – Nursery age. We are registered for 24 two year olds.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (These days change each term)
Session times - 8.50am to 11.20am
Session costs - £6.00 per session (Including snack)
Early Entitlement is based in Llay Park Playgroup and is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. Children are entitled to Early Education the term after their 3rd birthday.
It provides 10 hours of funded education per week, which runs over 4 days a week (as per school term). We are registered for 28 three year old children.

‘Little Treasures’ is based in Llay Park Playgroup, it is aimed at Nursery children of parents in Park CP School, who require Full-Day childcare (Playgroup Plus). We are registered for 28 ‘Little Treasures’
‘Little Treasures’ runs five days a week during the school term and provides afternoon child care, while allowing the child to learn and develop through play.

Growing Together is a family learning group that takes place every Thursday mornng from 9.00 to 11.00 am. The aim of the group is to encourage families and the community to become involved in their children's learning and achievements. Each session covers many different aspects in a fun and friendly way. At Park School Llay Out of School Club (situated in Park CP School Llay).

Opening times and cost :
Breakfast club : £2.00 - 7.30am to 8.50am (children are then escorted to school by the staff)
Afterschool club : £8.00 - 3.05pm to 6.00pm (children are collected from school by staff and escorted to club)
Holiday club : £25 a day £13 for a five hour session.
The Park School Llay OSC provides childcare throughout the year for children aged between 2 and 11 years. We are registered for the maximum of 80 children of both genders.
