News: Staff Training

Yesterday our teaching staff spent the day at Darland High School with Dave Harris and Nina Jackson from Independent Thinking, who shared with us their expertise on Challenge Based Learning and Developing Curiosity.
The training was truly inspirational and as such, this year we will be transforming parts of school into Curious Corridors and Corners, with lots of puzzling objects and pictures to inspire authentic engagement from the children.
If anyone has any unusual objects or puzzles (Jacob’s Ladders etc.) or pictures that they’d like to donate to these areas, please contact school.
We’ll keep you posted on our progress as we develop the ‘Darland Curious Learning Community Approach.’
Many thanks to Mrs Lee from Darland for hosting us and to all the cluster schools who are joining us on the journey.
