Dear Parents and Carers,
The children were all smiles this morning as they found out which class they will be joining in September! It was wonderful to see their excitement and as they spent time with their teachers and classmates during our Common Transfer Day activities.
As previously shared, due to the number of pupils on roll, we have made some changes to our class organisation for the next academic year. Our classes for September 2026 will be:
-
Early Years (Nursery & Reception) – Miss O’Farrell & Miss Davies
-
Year 1 – Mrs Cartwright
-
Year 2 – Mrs Bowles
-
Year 2/3 – Mrs Griffiths-Jones
-
Year 3 – Mrs Squire
-
Year 4 – Mrs Bayley
-
Year 4/5 – Mr Whalley
-
Year 4/5 – Mrs Burton & Miss Cushing
-
Year 5/6 – Mrs Rogers
-
Year 6 – Mrs Wilmore
-
Infant Resource Provision – Mrs Parry
-
Junior Resource Provision – Miss Harrison
We are fortunate that class sizes range from between 22 and 29 children and we have an amazing team of support staff working across the school.
As always, classes have been carefully planned by staff to ensure the best possible learning environment for every child. A wide range of factors have been considered, including children’s academic needs, friendships, social and emotional wellbeing, class sizes and the best use of staff expertise.
We appreciate that some children may naturally feel a little anxious about moving into a new class. This is perfectly normal, and we encourage you to talk positively about the changes ahead. Spending time discussing the exciting opportunities September will bring, maintaining normal routines and reassuring your child that their new teacher will be there to support them can all help to make the transition a positive experience.
We are incredibly proud of how well the children embraced today’s transition activities and are confident they will continue to thrive in their new classes. Full class information will be sent home with the children.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Mrs Billington
