News: Bouncy Castle Fun Day

Dear Parents and Carers,
As a special end-of-year treat and a thank you to our wonderful children for all of their hard work, resilience and achievements throughout the year, we are delighted to be holding our Bouncy Castle Fun Day on Thursday 16th July.
We are aware that warm weather is forecast and want to reassure you that we have carefully considered this when planning the day. Rather than spending extended periods on the inflatables, each class will enjoy multiple short sessions of approximately 20 minutes throughout the day.
The children’s safety and wellbeing remain our highest priority. We will:
  • ensure children have regular access to drinking water and encourage them to stay well hydrated;
  • make use of shaded areas when children are not using the inflatables;
  • closely monitor the temperature and children’s wellbeing throughout the day;
  • ensure the sessions are kept short and appropriate for the conditions.
All of the inflatables supplied have built-in sun canopies to provide shade while the children are using them. The company has also reassured us that they have successfully operated these inflatables during similar warm weather conditions and have not previously experienced any issues relating to the heat.
Please can we ask that every child comes to school with a pair of socks, as socks must be worn when using the bouncy castles for hygiene and safety reasons. Unfortunately, we do not have spare socks available in school, so children without socks will be unable to use the inflatables.
School  uniform is required as ours is designed so that the children have participate in activities such as this with ease. Sun cream should be applied before school, and if your child is able to apply their own sun cream independently, they are welcome to bring a named bottle to reapply during the day.
We are looking forward to a fantastic day of fun and celebration as we round off another successful year at Park CP School.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Mrs Billington
