News: Happy Half Term

Annwyl Pawb,
Well didn’t that half term just fly by!
The children are all well into their theme of exploring the “Castell o’ Gymru” and it’s been so lovely seeing the different routes that classes have taken. Early Years children have been fascinated by the Knights and Princesses (of course!); in Years 1 & 2 they’ve focussed on the food (yum!); Blwyddyn 3 a 4 have taken the scientific approach – experimenting with homemade slingshots/catapults and of course Years 5 a 6 got creative with their amazing performance of ‘Oh What a Knight.’
Just a reminder that school reopens on Monday 23rd February 2026
Monday 23rd Feb is World Thinking Day and those children who attend Brownies/Guides/Scouts/Rainbows/Cubs etc. are welcome to come to school wearing their uniforms.
In addition, on Thursday 26th Feb & Friday 27th Feb children are welcome to come to school wearing traditional Welsh costume; Welsh sporting kits or any other sensible red/white/green clothing, as we celebrate St David’s Day with our annual Eisteddfod.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Half Term break and thank you for your continued support which is very much appreciated.
Take care during the week off everyone and fingers crossed that this rain stops!
Kind Regards,
Mrs R Billington
Headteacher/Pennaeth
