Photograph Consent – Please Review Your Preferences
Following our recent communication about changes to the way we share photographs of children on our website, we are asking all parents and carers to reconsider and confirm their consent for photographs.
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding children, particularly in response to emerging concerns around the use of images online and developments in AI technology, we have introduced our new “Changing the Angle, Not the Story” approach.
We still want to celebrate the wonderful learning, achievements and experiences taking place at Park CP, but we are adapting the way we capture and share these moments. Photographs shared on our website will now:

show children from behind or from a side-facing angle only;

focus on the hands on learning, exploring and creating;
- avoid clearly displaying the school logo on uniform;

use group photographs, busy backgrounds and collages where appropriate
We have changed the angle, not the story. We still want families to see and celebrate the fantastic things our children do, while taking sensible additional steps to protect them.
With this revised approach in place, we would now like parents and carers to make an informed decision about photographic consent for their child.
If you are happy for your child to be photographed, please log in to MCAS, select Parental Consent, review the photograph permissions and tick the appropriate boxes to confirm your consent.
Please only select the permissions you are comfortable with. We will respect the choices made for each child.
All parents and carers must review their preferences for the current year. Even if you have previously provided consent this must be updated, so that we can be confident that the permissions we hold reflect your wishes in light of our new approach.
