What a glorious start to the new school year!
The children have all settled really well into their new classes and have been sharing their Summer Holiday Adventures with us all morning. Classes are already taking advantage of our new sandpits in Foundation Phase and outdoor shelters in Key Stage 2.
The children are looking very smart in their new uniforms – thank you to all those who have supported us and made the changes. I have noticed that some parents/carers have chosen to send their children in wearing summer dresses/skirts. Please be aware that our uniform policy was updated before the summer holidays and shared with everyone on the website/app. Our new uniform consists of plain black or grey joggers/shorts, a white polo shirt (or t-shirt), burgundy jumper or cardigan and sensible shoes suitable for running around in.
Our new uniform is designed to ensure the children can participate in all activities – PE, Yoga, Sand Play, Forest School, Outdoor Learning etc. at any time. Separate kits for PE and Forest School are no longer required. Children wearing skirts to school, may not be able to participate in certain activities for health, safety and hygiene reasons.
I will update everyone throughout the week with dates for the term and year!! I’m trying to ensure that parents have as much notice as possible for concerts, sports days etc. and organising dates before the diary fills up with other things.
