This week the children have been learning all about Medieval Banquets during Theme lessons! They discovered that gingerbread originated in the medieval period so they followed a recipe to make some of their own! They also found out that bread and honey was a treat during this period too. Today we had our own medieval banquet in class, where we ate our gingerbread we had baked, and we tried some bread and honey too.
We also discussed what foods we would like if we created our own menu for a banquet.
