Dosbarth Celyn enjoyed an exciting Creative Schools Day filled with storytelling, creativity and culture.
In the morning, crime author and storyteller Myfanwy Alexa challenged learners to solve “The Mystery of the Missing Truffle.” Using clues based on different foods, pupils worked in groups to create wanted posters, describe suspects, and present their ideas before deciding on the culprit.
Later, Jenny introduced flipbooks and stop-motion animation. Pupils created their own short films using card, paper and playdough, which were proudly shared with the class.
Earlier in the week included a cultural cooking activity, where pupils made Neer Urundai (sweet rice balls). They explored the festival of Diwali, learning about its traditions and the importance of food in celebrations. This sparked thoughtful comparisons between Indian and Welsh foods.
A fantastic week of creativity, teamwork and learning was enjoyed by all!
