Dosbarth Mr Whalley: Our Week

We have had a lovely week full of learning, , curiosity, creativity and new experiences in Dosbarth Celyn!
In Maths, we have started exploring multiples, developing our understanding and practising our new skills through a range of activities.
During our theme work, we have been learning all about evacuees. We explored why children were evacuated during the war and what their journeys may have been like. The children showed great empathy as they imagined how it might have felt to leave their families behind. They then put themselves in the evacuees’ shoes and wrote their own letters home to their parents. It was lovely to see them thinking so carefully about the feelings and experiences of others.
We have also been getting creative over the last couple of days, making some fantastic bonfire-themed artwork! 🎆 Alongside this, we have been learning some Welsh vocabulary linked to bonfires and chatting about the important ways we can all stay safe when attending bonfires and fireworks displays.
Well done, Dosbarth Celyn, for another fantastic week! We are so proud of your enthusiasm, creativity and hard work. Da iawn, pawb! ❤️
