News: Parking Around School

Annwyl Pawb,
I have received concerns from members of the community regarding inconsiderate and at times dangerous parking around school during morning drop-off and afternoon collection times.
I appreciate that these are very busy times and that finding a convenient parking space can sometimes be difficult. However, please do not park on double yellow lines, pavements or in a way that blocks the road, access points or visibility for children and other road users. Even stopping for a short period can create congestion and, more importantly, make it difficult for children to cross roads safely.
Please remember that we have a parent and visitor car park off School Road, and we encourage families to use this wherever possible. If the car park is busy, please consider parking a little further away and walking the final part of the journey to school.
All concerns around parking are shared with our local Community Policing Team.
If you witness a specific incident involving dangerous parking or a vehicle causing an obstruction, this can also be reported directly to North Wales Police via 101.
We all have a part to play in keeping our children safe – please park responsibly.
Please be patient and considerate of other families, local residents and road users, and allow a little extra time at the beginning and end of the school day.
Thank you, as always, for your support and cooperation.
Kind regards,
Mrs Billington
