News: Harvest Service

The children enjoyed a lovely Harvest Service yesterday at St Martin’s church. Pastor David led us in giving thanks for all that we are and all that have.  Head Boy Jaxon, Head Girl Sophia and their Deputies: Brooke, Lacey and Beren read out prayers and passages from the Bible followed by Mrs Sear leading us in singing and signing some lovely songs, which the children sang beautifully.  During the service a few children volunteered to share what they are thankful for:   “I’m thankful for the NHS, the amazing doctors and nurses who help us.”  “I’m thankful for my family and for being here.”  “I’m thankful for my school and friends.”  “I’m thankful for all the people who help us in the community.” “I’m thankful for God.” “I’m thankful that we have food to eat and shelter to keep us warm.” Such kind and thoughtful words from the children, which really did make our Harvest Service special. Huge thanks to Pastor David who as always was a superstar; to Rev’d Ana for allowing us to use the church; to Mrs Rogers and Miss Ivison for leading the singing; to Mrs Sear for signing the songs and of course to you all for your generous contributions to our food hampers.  Tegid class will be out and about in the village today distributing the hampers to members of the community.  What a fantastic way to celebrate Harvest.  Diolch pawb, Mrs Billington Pennaeth
