Can you believe it’s the end of another school year?! Time truly does fly and what a wonderful year it’s been. From Dinosaur visits to Coronation Parades and Country Shows this year has had it all!
As we start the Summer Holidays, we are saying a fond farewell to three amazing, long-standing staff members. Mrs Rolls is leaving us to take up headship at Ysgol Maes Y Llan, whilst Mrs Parry and Mrs Lucas are leaving us today to embark on new adventures. All have been such wonderful and valued members of staff here at Park C.P. and they will be greatly missed. A huge THANK YOU to all three for the work they have done over the past 24 years.
As Mrs Lucas leaves us, many will question who will be the Nursery teacher for September? I’m happy to share with you that Mrs Thompson (formerly Miss H Billington) will be joining the Nursery class and Miss A Neal will be teaching in Year 4 (whilst Mr Whalley is on secondment at the LA.) Both are excited to start in their new roles and Miss Neal has been to visit the children who will be in her class this afternoon.
As many of you will have noticed, work has started to improve our outdoor learning areas and this will continue throughout the summer. We are installing large sandpits for Foundation Phase classes and creating outdoor classrooms in Key Stage 2 – exciting times ahead!
And finally…
On behalf of the staff and Governors, I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of you – our parents, carers, family and friends of Park C.P. Your support is always appreciated; your kind words mean so much and we are very grateful for the gifts received this week and indeed throughout the year.
Have a wonderful summer, enjoy the break and please remember that school opens for children in Reception to Year 6 on Tuesday 5th September.
