Dear Parents/Carers, Lots of children these days have a mobile phone or have access to a mobile phone, and I know that lots of children in school are using apps such as WhatsApp and Snapchat. Whilst these can be an effective way of communicating with friends, they can also have a negative impact. For example, some children may use swear words and make inappropriate comments about others on these platforms, which is unacceptable. I would encourage all parents to regularly check their child’s phone and have regular discussions around what is appropriate. This will help to keep your child safe and gives you the opportunity to check the messages they’re sending and receiving.
