Yesterday, members of our Prefect Group did a wonderful job, representing school at the Remembrance Day Service. Sophia, Jaxon, Abbie, Lacey, Brooke, Jac, Cindy, Ethan, Luisa, Poppy and Isabella marched with the parade from the British Legion to St Martin’s church, where they read the names of local fallen heroes and lit candles in their honour. Following the church service, we paraded back to the cenotaph where the children laid crosses for each of the fallen soldiers. I cannot praise the group highly enough – they performed their roles brilliantly, with respect and such a mature attitude – I am so proud of them all. As a treat, they’ve all enjoyed a cake at break time today! (Unfortunately the weather was horrendous yesterday, so our photograph is from Friday’s service!) I look forward to our next outing, Prefects.
