Today, Years 3-6 were joined by members of the local community to attend a Remembrance service lead by Mrs Billington and Pastor David. Members of the prefect group read the names of soldiers from Llay who died during World War 1; Pastor David explained the history of the poppy and Councillor Rob Walsh thanked the children for their attendance. Representatives from each class also laid beautiful poppy wreaths from all of the classes in the school. These look stunning in front of the cenotaph and will be displayed in St Martins church on Sunday.
