News: Sharing Progress with Parents Day

Just a reminder that we are trialling a new way of sharing progress with parents and there is still time to book in for Tegid, Sapphire and Idwal classes.  (The children will also be bringing home an initiation to attend this week, with a paper reply slip if you’d prefer to book in that way.) This is the information shared previously:  We’d like to invite parents into school, in small groups to spend time with their child in class.  We’ll be offering 3 sessions – morning (9.15am to 10.15am); afternoon (2pm to 3pm) or evening (4.30pm to 5.30pm) During the session, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time with your child looking through his/her work; have a good look around the classroom and speak with your child’s class teacher about his/her work, progress and targets. There will also be the opportunity for you to undertake a fun activity with your child in class.  We’d like to trial this new and exciting approach on Monday 18th March 2024 with Miss Ivison’s Class (Tegid); Mrs Bayley’s Class (Idwal) and Mrs Bowles’ Class (Sapphire).  We love all parents to come along and would ask you to either fill out the google form below or contact school via telephone/email ([email protected]) with your preference for a session. Please note that if you opt for the evening session your child will need to attend with you.  https://forms.gle/XupG2TytAyKgnRGp8 These sessions will replace the traditional ‘Parents Evenings‘ and we hope they will be far more informative and useful to you. Our aim is to allow you to have more time with class teachers and gain a better understanding of our new ways of working; the progress your child is making along with ideas on how to support him/her at home.  Don’t worry about other children in the class – we have plans in place for learning outside of the classroom sessions, for those who parents are attending other sessions, safeguarding is always our priority.  I look forward to seeing everyone and trialling this new approach to working with parents as we strive to ensure the children receive the best education possible, here at Park CP.  Diolch, Mrs Billington Headteacher
