We have planned a Sponsored Walk on Friday 15th September 2023 for all classes from Reception to Year 6, to raise money for our School Funds. Children will be walking various distances around the school grounds, the village and through Alyn Waters, similar to the very successful event that we held last year.
Our School Fund is used throughout the year in a variety of ways. We use the money to purchase items to enhance our curriculum, to subsidise school trips and to provide special treats for the children throughout the year, such as the amazing County Show day held before the summer holidays. All the children benefit from the money we raise.
Rather than provide sponsor forms, we are simply asking parents/carers, families and friends to make donations. Times are hard and we appreciate that there is a cost of living crisis, so please just give what you can – “every little helps!” All children will be taking part, regardless of whether donations are made – there’s no pressure on anyone.
Children can wear their uniform on the day – after all that’s why we designed it – to be suitable for all activities! If it’s hot please remember sunscreen and hats and if it’s wet a waterproof jacket.
