News: The Teenage Years!

Annwyl Pawb, I know (from experience) just how tricky the teenage years can be!! The transfer to secondary school, the hormonal changes and the lovely children who onced smiled and were eager to please turn into monsters!!!! (I’m joking of course).  To help parents, prepare parents and support parents, we are working with Wrexham Family Centres and will be offering informal sessions at school. This is NOT a parenting course, it’s just the opportunity for parents to share their concerns, talk things through, share ideas, have a coffee and cake and take some well deserved time to relax and reflect. Raising children doesn’t come with a handbook and so the more support we can each other the better!  Our sessions will be held at school on a Monday, starting with Coffee Morning on Monday 20th May at 9am. Teas, coffees, biscuits and cakes will be provided and there’s no charge.  Please feel free to pop in and have a chat – EVERYONE IS WELCOME (not just parents with children in Years 5 and 6). We want to know how we can help you, what challenges are you facing with your children, what successes have you had – it’s truly a sharing and caring opportunity.  I hope lots of parents/carers will be able to join us on this exciting journey. If successful there will be further opportunities for sessions focussed on Early Years, Staying Safe online, Coping with ‘Lively’ Children and Additional Learning Needs – we’ll do our best to accommodate what our parents/carers will find most useful.  In the meantime, you may find the attached resources helpful: Teenage Years and Early Years.  (Please note that the sessions are for parents/carers only – no children involved).
