News: Year 6 Parents & Carers

Dear Year 6 Parents/Carers,
I do apologise that I was unable to attend the Year 6 Graduation Service yesterday. My absence was due to illness which couldn’t have come at a worse time. My thanks to Miss Ivison for the leading the ceremony and to all the other staff involved in the afternoon, ensuring our Year 6 children had such a lovely ‘send off’.
Had I been able to attend, I would have told you all about how wonderful your children have been as a Year 6 cohort. They truly have been amazing and throughout the year their personalities and individual gifts have shone through. I have never known such a kind, caring, considerate, well mannered, enthusiastic and polite group of children. They are a credit to you all and to their teachers.
Amongst this year’s class we have fantastic artists, writers, performers, mathematicians, scientists, sports stars, diplomats, electricians, gardeners and leaders. As they travel on to the next stage of their education, I hope that they embrace these skills and take with them the happy memories made here at Park C.P. They are our future and I hope the take our vision of being Passionate, Ambitious, Respectable, Knowledgeable learners with them as they continue onwards.
I wish them all every success in the future and encourage them to stay in touch.
I would also like to extend my sincerest thanks to you – the parents/carers of these amazing children; your support is/has been really appreciated. As we approach the last two days of term, I know that for some of you this will also be the end of the primary school journey! I hope you too take away happy, treasured memories from your child’s time with us.
Don’t forget, we will be taking Year 6 for their ‘Splash, Swim and Slide’ session tomorrow at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre, for a final, well-deserved treat.
Diolch yn fawr iawn pawb,
Mrs Billington Headteacher
